You make a mental model of which icons are for what, and then an upgrade changes the theme to some new default (since everyone expects a new coat of paint), and you have to go back and reset your old theme or tweak it for an hour. Cause us adults are unlikely to use themes that looks like a depressed fourteen year old made them. They may be stylistically clean and all that, but they are also pretty damn dark and depressing. It is pretty annoying when the first thing you have to do to get a usable computer is edit the theme.
