I'm amazed that you'd claim that you have to know the name of a package to install it in PCLOS. It uses apt-get/Synaptic, just like I assume Mepis still does. Sorry, but that oversight makes this review pretty much worthless.

Well we all have our own favorite distros. I also don't use either one of them on my main workstation. By the way, thanks for the info Mr C, I hope people from Ubuntu and PCLOS communities will have a chance to read your comment and learn from it.

I think all of the sucks!!!I hate Ubuntu and PcLinuxOO,both are like to buy Ipod.It's just a brand.I know Ubuntu was my first Linux distro and i have learned a lot it.I am using currently Sabayon 3.4e and PC-BSD both have stable distro's and worth to have a try.Also the big problem with Ubuntu and PcLinuxOS their community are very unfriendly,use to be more helpful and better before,but since then they are the most used distro's,it's getting worst and worst.
