KDM (KDE Display Manager) is the default graphical login interface of the K Desktop Environment. Anyone who uses KDE should know that KDM is highly customizable and can be easily configured.
If you are already bored with your simple KDE login screen, you can spice it up a little through theming. To help you, I have collected several user-submitted and ready-to-use KDM themes that I think would stand out above all others. Enjoy!

If you have a problem installing any of these do the following:
Unpack/untar the theme (right click on file and Extract archive here should work). Then you have to edit file called KdmGreeterTheme.desktop. In this file change [GdmGreeterTheme] to [KdmGreeterTheme]. Save the file and then tar and gzip it (right click on the directory -> Compress -> Gzip compressed tar-archive). It should be installable now.
Some other problem could be that the KdmGreeterTheme.desktop doesn't exist att all. Instead there is a GdmGreeterTheme.desktop. Rename it and change inside of it as described above.
Have fun!
/opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/themes
You can then select your theme in Yast ( not in the KDE control Center).
In Yast select the 'System' Icon in the left pane, then select the '/etc/sysconfig Editor' icon. Then in the new dialog box that appears expand the 'Desktop' option by clicking on the '+' symbol, then expand 'Display Manager' in the same way, then click on the 'DISPLAYMANAGER_KDM_THEME'. The default setting will be SUSE. Replace this with the name of you new theme, ie I downloaded the ToxicTheme. So I entered ToxicTheme.
I'm don't know whether it's needed but I also edited the KdmGreeterTheme.desktop file and changed [GdmGreeterTheme] to [KdmGreeterTheme]. I guess this is also a good place to find the name of the Theme for use in editing /etc/sysconfig
