  1. Anonymous Said,

most errors are creations made with paint or are result of ads or virus ....... too bad, there is no need to do that to get funny error messages.

  2. Anonymous Said,

    F - A - K - E.

But I have seen a "Keyboard error - hit F2 to continue" from an Intel BIOS.

Favorite SunOS from the old days: "Bill says this can't happen."

  10. Travis Said,

Wow... anyone can edit a screenshot or create their own Windows Forms program to pop up with a dialog error...

  11. Anonymous Said,

NO, THEY ARE REAL. ALL OF THEM

  12. Anonymous Said,

"They have Photoshopped or edited some Windows error messages and made them look so realistic to try to tickle our funny bone."

    Uhhhhhh they're totally fake Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  13. Anonymous Said,

Eh, I'm a Linux user, but I really don't like M$ hate that much. Seriously, dislike them for valid reasons, but wtf is up with all these fake error's that do nothing other than make the 'Other Side' think we're all set on making a bad image of Windows (And, no, I don't mean as in a Virtual Machine or for imaging Systems). Let Apple (The True Evil Here) do that so we can point and laugh at both.

  14. Anonymous Said,

If the title said "Joke Error Messages," then I wouldn't be disappointed to find a bunch of fake errors here.

Some are actual errors or copies of them, though. I have actually seen the errors that said:

    "Error: Operation completed successfully."

"Cannot delete file .... There is not enough disk space. Delete one or more files and try again." (now you get to re-install Windows, or at least you did back when I used to see this on Windows 95/98)

"Windows has detected that you have moved your mouse. Windows must now restart your computer."

Also the Russian ATM machine error looks to be real, and a couple of the others are plausible.

  15. Anonymous Said,

These error messages are REAL guys ! I have seen the "BAD OFFICE ASSISTANT" one suicide note !!! :)

  16. Jonny Said,

The Vista one is not by the system, it's the fucked up driver. :P

And yes, several of these are either fake or by ISVs (even if they're genuine). Funny thing tho, the ATM could very well be real. I get lots of these at work.

  17. Anonymous Said,

    Schweet. oh the humility!

  18. Anonymous Said,

ACTUALLY ITS BEEN TOLD THAT MOST IMAGES HAVE BEEN EDITED. SO THERE IS NO REASON TO SAY THAT THEY ARE FAKE...FAKE BUT FUNNY

  19. BadGuy Said,

I agree with ANONYMOUS. Most of these error messages seem to be programmed with Visual Basic 6. Here's an example.

msgbox('Proceeding with the DELETE Operation will erase the contents of your hard drive. _ What do you wish to do ?',_ vbCritical+vbOKCancel,'Warning')

  20. Anonymous Said,

A very common problem with Windows explorer is reported on all Windows help forums. I've seen people complaining about problem with long path files deletion.

Some common problems with Windows Explorer people talk about:

    - Doesn't allow to delete files with long path names
    - Pops up error while deleting unwanted files or unnecessary files
    - Errors like: Access denied, sharing violation, source in use etc.

I've found a very simple but smart solution for all these above mentioned common problems. A very simple but powerful tool to overcome these problems. Everyone who plays with the files must have this tool. Its compatible with all versions of Microsoft Windows.
